How Beyler LLC handles personal information on BeyDock and in the BeyDock app.
Effective: October 11, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Beyler LLC collects through BeyDock and the BeyDock app, why, and what choices you have. We keep it short and specific. BeyDock is in early access, and where something may change we say so.
Who we are
Beyler LLC ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at:
What this covers
This policy covers two things:
- The website (BeyDock), including the early access request form on the Download page.
- The BeyDock app, the macOS application you install and run yourself.
It does not cover other companies' services that you use through or alongside BeyDock, such as AI providers, GitHub or your own servers. Those are governed by their own policies.
Information we collect on the website
Early access request form
If you ask for early access, we collect:
- your email address (required);
- your name (optional);
- a record that you agreed to be contacted about early access, with the time of your request.
When you submit the form we also store some technical details with your request to help us handle abuse: your IP address, your browser's user agent string, the page you came from (referrer) and the country your IP address maps to.
Technical data and visit counting
Our servers, and Cloudflare, which sits in front of them, process standard connection data such as your IP address, request time, requested page and browser details. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We also count visits to understand which pages are read. This is done without cookies and without storing your IP address or browser details:
- For each visit we compute a short one-way hash from your IP address, your browser's user agent and a random value that is regenerated every day.
- Only that hash, the page path, a broad device type (for example desktop or mobile) and a simplified traffic source (such as a referring site name or a
utm_sourcevalue) are kept. The raw IP address and user agent are not written to our statistics. - The daily random value is deleted the next day, so a hash cannot be linked back to you afterwards. The hashes themselves are deleted after two days.
- Aggregated daily totals (views and visitors per page, device type and source) are kept for up to 25 months.
- Obvious bots, crawlers and monitoring tools are not counted.
Because this counting uses no cookies and stores no identifiers on your device, it does not depend on your cookie choice.
Cookie choice
When you answer the cookie banner, a small cookie named bs_consent stores your choice for 12 months. We also keep a record of the choice for our own accountability: a random decision ID, the time, the policy version, your choices and a salted hash of your IP address (the raw IP address and user agent are not kept). See the Cookie Policy for details.
Messages and email
If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can respond and follow up.
What the app collects
The BeyDock app does not send usage data, analytics, crash reports or telemetry to us. We operate no servers that the app reports to. In particular:
- Local storage. Your accounts, sessions, transcripts, settings and usage measurements are stored on your Mac, in the app's Application Support folder. They stay there until you delete them.
- Keychain. Secrets such as sign-in credentials and tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain, not in plain files.
- Local-only services. The app's MCP Hub listens on 127.0.0.1 (your own computer) only. It is not reachable from other machines.
- Your own servers. If you add SSH hosts, the app connects to them directly from your Mac. We are not involved in that connection.
- Your phone. If you pair the BeyDock iOS app with your Mac, they communicate with each other over an encrypted channel. We do not relay or see that traffic.
Data you send to AI providers
BeyDock runs coding agents using other companies' tools and models, such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (Codex), Google (Antigravity) and the providers available through OpenCode. You sign in with your own accounts. When you send a message, attach a file or let an agent read your code, that content goes directly from your Mac (or your SSH host) to the provider, and it is handled under the provider's terms and privacy policy, not ours.
Voice dictation, if you use it, sends your audio to Anthropic's speech service using your Claude account.
We do not receive, store or have access to this content. Please review each provider's policy before you send them sensitive information.
Other network activity you start
The app can also contact services you choose to use, for example GitHub (through your own tools and credentials) when you create a pull request, MCP servers you add, or web pages you open in the built-in browser. Those services receive whatever you or your agents send them.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your early access request, contact you about access to BeyDock and send related product updates you asked for;
- operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, and prevent spam and abuse;
- understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it;
- keep a record of your cookie choices;
- respond to your messages and requests, and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not use the content of your sessions to train models, because we do not receive it.
Legal bases (EU and UK visitors)
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on:
- Consent, for contacting you about early access and for any optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.
- Legitimate interests, for running and securing the website, preventing abuse, counting visits in aggregate and keeping a record of cookie choices. We weigh these interests against your rights and keep the data we use minimal.
- Legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information by law.
- Contract (steps before entering into one), where handling your request is needed to give you access to the app.
Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Hosting provider, which runs the servers where the website and its data are stored.
- Cloudflare, which provides content delivery, DDoS protection and the Turnstile spam check on our form. Turnstile receives technical signals from your browser and your IP address to tell humans from bots.
- Resend, which delivers the emails we send, such as a confirmation of your request or replies to you. It receives the recipient address and message content.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you if your information becomes subject to a different policy.
International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
- Early access requests: kept until early access ends or you ask us to delete them, and no longer than we need to contact you about BeyDock. You can ask us to delete your request at any time.
- Messages to us: kept as long as needed to deal with your request, then deleted or archived for a reasonable period.
- Visit counting: daily visitor hashes are deleted after two days; aggregated totals after 25 months.
- Cookie choice records: kept for a limited period to demonstrate compliance, then deleted.
- Server and security logs: kept for a short period set by our hosting and security providers.
- The
bs_consentcookie: 12 months.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, hashing for visit counts and keeping secrets out of plain text. In the app, secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for the security of your own Mac, accounts and servers. See our Terms of Use for details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- portability, meaning receiving your information in a commonly used format;
- complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. In the EU you can find yours through the European Data Protection Board; in the UK it is the Information Commissioner's Office.
To exercise a right, email us at the address below with the email address you used on the site. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within one month (or the period your law requires). We do not charge a fee unless a request is clearly excessive.
If you are a California resident, you have similar rights to know, delete and correct personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
Children
BeyDock and BeyDock are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as BeyDock moves out of early access or as our practices change. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, make the change visible on the site. Please check back from time to time.
