A skill is a folder of instructions that an agent can load when it is relevant. Each provider keeps its own skills folder. Without sharing, a skill you installed for Claude isn't there when you work with Codex.
How sharing works
When you turn sharing on, BeyDock links each skill you installed for one provider into the others. It uses links only:
- It never copies skill files and never changes them.
- It links between Claude, Codex and Antigravity. OpenCode reads Claude's skills folder itself, so it needs no links.
- If two providers have a skill with the same name but different contents, BeyDock doesn't link it. The preview lists it as a conflict.
- Turning sharing off removes only the links BeyDock made.
BeyDock's own skills, such as the Delegation skill, live in ~/.beydock/skills and are linked into the provider folders. Sharing works on this Mac.
Turn it on
Sharing is off by default.
- Open Settings › Connections.
- Under Skills, turn on Share skills across providers.
- Read the preview. It shows how many links BeyDock will add and for how many skills, any conflicts, and any broken links it will remove. Each row shows which provider a skill comes from and where it goes.
- Click Share Skills.
Later, if you install more skills, click Sync Now in the same section to link them.
Use a skill
Type / in the message box. Skills and custom commands are listed under Skills & commands. You can also see every skill, with where it lives, under Skills on Home › Connections.
Things to know
A skill may rely on tool names that exist only in one provider, such as Bash or TodoWrite, so it can behave differently in another provider. Test a shared skill in the provider where you want to use it.
The Delegation skill is separate. It is off by default and is controlled under Settings › Agents › Delegation skill. It changes how agents work, so turn it on only if you want agents to hand off work on their own. See Delegation.
Skills are one part of Connections. MCP servers, which work through the Hub, are the other.
